Directions:
- In a large pan, boil 5 cups of water
- Fill a large bowl with water and ice cubes. Set aside
- Using tongs, place the collard green in the boiling water for 2-3 minutes. The longer you leave it, the softer the green will get. Be sure not to leave it in the water too long to avoid it from becoming too soft. This is called blanching.
- Once it's ready it will become darker in color. Use the tongs and immediately dip into the bowl of cold water for 30 seconds.
- Remove and pat dry using a towel.
- Wrap in seran wrap and store in fridge for when ready to use!
